2011 Azalea Festival Theme Contest

The City of South Gate and the 2011 Azalea Festival Planning Committee would like to invite residents to submit their ideas for a "Theme" for the 2011 Azalea Festival. Past "Theme" winners have been; "South Gate United", "Opportunity is Blooming", and last year's theme of "Children are our Future". The winning "Theme" will be used for the 2011 Festival which will take place March 12-21, 2011.
Entries must be received by Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 10:00 a.m
Entries may be e-mailed to ncobos@sogate.org. Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address along with your entry.
All entries will be reviewed and a winner will be selected by members of the Azalea Festival Committee. All entries become the property of the City of South Gate and must be original work of the submitter. The selected entry will become the theme for the 2011 Azalea Festival and will be used on all promotional materials and festival paraphernalia.
$100 will be awarded to the winning theme. The winner will be recognized in the "Vista" City Newsletter and at the Azalea Festival.
Contest Guidelines
· Contestants must live or work in the City of South Gate
· Theme entries should be ten words or less
· Express a theme that represents the spirit of South Gate, its residents or of the festival.
