Goals Soccer Centers, the world wide leader in state of the art five-a-side soccer facilities has just opened its first center in the United States and it is right here at South Gate Park! Working with the City over the last two years on a development that included the leasing of 3.5 acres of city land where the old Tweedy Elementary School was located, Goals has invested over $5.5 million dollars to create the best experience that Soccer has to offer.
Officially opened on June 3rd, the center boasts 10 five-a-side "pitches" which are 22 yards by 33 yards. A larger seven-a-side pitch brings the total fields to eleven. Each field is covered with artificial turf to ensure a smooth, well groomed playing surface for years to come. Rebound boards surround each pitch, keeping the ball in play and making this one of the fastest, most exciting soccer games you will ever play.
After your game, Goals also has a café serving a variety of menu items and sporting several large screen TV's with all the recent soccer broadcasts from around the world. Spacious, clean locker rooms and a friendly, helpful staff help to round out the center.
