Street Maintenance

The Street Maintenance division is responsible for maintaining the City's 125 miles of streets, as well as alleys, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. This includes repairing potholes, resurfacing, crack sealing, striping, and street sweeping. This division is also responsible for the maintenance of the approximately 18,000 trees in parks, medians, and street parkways throughout the City.

Street Sweeping
All public streets and alleys are swept weekly by our Public Works crews. The day that your street is swept is posted on signs in your neighborhood. For more information on street sweeping, call (323) 563-5795.

Tree Maintenance
Public Works provides tree trimming, removal, and planting of trees in City parkways at no cost. For more information, call (323) 563-5795.

Street Lighting & Traffic Signals
Public Works Electrical Division conducts repairs to all city street lights and traffic signals. For more information and to report outages, call (323) 563-5785.
