Citizens On Patrol

Citizens On Patrol is composed of City residents who volunteer their time to assist in handling minor police related duties. Citizen on Patrol members volunteer at least 16 hours per month and could be assigned to work D.U.I., (driving under the influence) checkpoints, traffic control, front desk, and many other aspects of the day to day operation of the Police Department. The Citizen on Patrol members have no arrest powers but do, however, offer an extra set of eyes and ears to our patrol units. This program is a valuable addition to the Police Department as their functions free sworn Officers to handle emergency enforcement related calls.
