Citizen Academy

The Citizen's Academy is designed to offer the Citizens of our Community an opportunity to see the Police Department from the inside out. Participants are able to see how the different divisions operate and meet several Police Department employees. Activities range from classroom discussions to role playing. The class culminates at the Police Department's range, participating in an all day shoot with the range staff. The class graduates as a team at the City Council meeting following the range. The next Citizen's Academy is scheduled for the early part of 2009. The Academy will last for nine weeks, meeting one night per week.
