This program is designed to promote awareness and education about issues relating to family violence in our community. The program offers victims and survivors of domestic violence the opportunity to participate in group counseling as well as educational workshops, where they learn alternatives to violence within their family. The group counseling and educational workshop sessions provide a safe and confidential environment where participants share experiences, learn and support one another.

The program also provides information on available services and resources; assists victims and survivors of domestic violence with filling out the paperwork necessary to obtain restraining orders, and provides support during and after the criminal trial. If you or someone you know needs help, please call Program Manager Laura Maldonado at 323-357-9667.

These children are not only taught coping techniques that will enable them to resist drugs, cigarettes, violence and gang peer pressure, but are also given accurate information about the dangers of drugs and gangs by South Gate Police Officers trained as S.A.N.E.
