Patrol and Gang Enforcement

The Patrol Division provides 24 hour general marked patrol and special enforcement services as needed. Twenty five (25) marked patrol units provide 50,000 miles per month of proactive patrol. General uniform patrol activities include calls for services, arrests, traffic collision investigations, traffic and parking enforcement. The patrol division includes six (6) teams who work round the clock. Each team is comprised of a Sergeant , a Field Training Officer and an average of nine Police Officers. A Watch Commander oversees the operation and is in charge of the patrol unit, the dispatch unit, the jail and all general functions of the Agency's routine operation. The watch Commander is ultimately under the direction of the Patrol Captain.
