- U.S. Small Business Administration
Consists of assistance to small businesses from the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) through seminars on business management/operation and individual counseling, procurement assistance to sell goods and services to the federal government and SBA loan programs for capital and fixed asset financing. Consists of technical assistance through low-cost courses, individual counseling and coordination of financial assistance offered by the State. Available city wide (call Pacific Coast Regional at (213) 739-2999). - California Procurement Technical Assistance Network
Consists of assistance to help businesses sell goods and services to a variety of public agencies world wide. Available city wide (call CAPTAN at (408) 739-6283). - South Coast Air Quality Management District
Consists of an Air Quality Assistance Fund Loan Guaranty Program for small businesses subject to AQMD regulations, free On-Site Technical Consultation Service and technical assistance. Consists of technical assistance and training through the ED > Net program. Areas of assistance include applied competitive technologies, contract education, workplace learning resources, international trade development, small business assistance and health occupations. Consists of environmental regulatory counseling, technical assistance, and financial assistance referrals to small businesses free of charge. Areas of expertise include air quality, water quality, energy efficiency and hazardous waste. Available city wide (call BEAC at (800) 662-2322). - Energy Efficiency Program
Consists of free energy analysis, rebates and other technical and financial assistance to commercial and industrial natural gas users. Available city wide (call The Gas Company at (800) GAS-2000). - Edison Action Line
Consists of free energy surveys, rebates and other technical and financial assistance to commercial and industrial electrical users. Available city wide (call Southern California Edison at (800) 990-7788). - Federal Technology Consortium
Consists of free access to federal laboratory expertise and capabilities through the FLC Locator Program. Information on cutting edge technology in areas of science and engineering are available to businesses to be transformed into new and improved products and services. Available City wide.
