Parks and Recreation Commission

The Parks and Recreation Commission is made up of five members, each of whom is appointed by an individual council member. The Commission's main responsibility is to study, plan, and promote, with staff, the recreational needs and offerings for the community, proposed park development projects, and continually assesses special events and activities.

The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 8650 California Ave., South Gate.
