The 46th Azalea Festival runs from March 12th to 20th

The City of South Gate has sponsored the Azalea Festival since 1966. It has become the City's annual celebration of its official flower, the Azalea. Community and civic leaders and city staff provide leadership and support to local organizations sponsoring and producing the festival's events and activities.

"The 2011 Festival theme is "Cultivating Community Pride."

The Festival will preserve all of the customs that have made it a community favorite for years, including the coronation of an Azalea Queen, Grand Marshal & Court, fundraising dinners for the most active service clubs in the community and a carnival for the entire family to enjoy.
